Do you take insurance?

It is unfortunate that almost all insurance companies refuse to cover medical weight loss, even though being overweight is a clear health risk. You are certainly free to check with your provider. If our services are covered by your insurance, we are happy to provide invoices for reimbursement. We do not process any insurance.

What medications are used?

We use a variety of medications according to the symptoms of the patient during each exam. We tailor them according to the needs of each individual. Please see the online quiz for more information.

What about the cost?

We are very affordable! The initial fee of $130 includes the initial exam, consultation, and medication(s). The cost then starts at $75 every two weeks for the next 3 months as we monitor for side effects and adjust medication as needed. Once you begin monthly visits, the fee starts at $100 which includes your exam and medication(s)!

Do you treat people with thyroid issues?

Yes. However, your thyroid medications and treatments will be continued by your own doctor.

I have some medical issues, can I be treated?

Generally, our medications are very safe for most people. We have many patients with controlled high blood pressure and diabetes. Please contact our offices regarding your concerns.

Do you treat minors?

Our medications have been successfully and safely used on many different age groups. However, we do require parental supervision during office visits and treatment of minors.

What kind of payment do you take? Do you have payment plans?

As of now, we only take cash or checks at all of our offices. Payment is due in full at the time of the visit.

Is the medication given in the office or do I need to have a prescription filled?

We can write a prescription for you to take and have filled at the pharmacy of your choice. Our medication is also dispensed on site, which is generally cheaper and more convenient. Most of our patients enjoy the convenience of taking their medications home without the hassle of prescriptions.

Can I breastfeed while taking the medication?

No

Can I take the medication while pregnant?

No. Discontinue the medication as soon as you find out you are pregnant.

How quickly can I get an appointment?

Appointment time varies. We do our best to accommodate our new patients as quickly as possible. Please contact our offices to schedule an appointment.

What if I missed an appointment? Will I be able to be seen right away or given medication until my next appointment?

We kindly ask that you call if you are unable to keep your appointment. When you call to cancel your appointment, we will reschedule you at that time. Because our offices are busy, there may not be another available appointment time immediately. For the safety of our patients, you must wait until your next visit to get your medications. For this reason, we ask that you keep your scheduled appointments.
